Ron Olson earned a BS from Georgia Tech and an MS in Design from North Carolina State University, and has attended numerous workshops in Painting, Drawing and Sculpture. He has worked in many areas of design, education and fine arts.

Ron taught evening classes for the Roswell Art League in North Atlanta, including instruction in oil painting, basic metal sculpture and figure drawing, and Art Appreciation. He was formerly proprietor of a gallery in North Georgia selling arts and crafts. He also worked for a major furniture wholesaler for 23 years, teaching corporate clients how to sell. He currently teaches basic drawing, colored pencil drawing, and pen and ink drawing at Pla-za Art Store in Nashville. He is a regular participant in the TACA shows and The American Artisan show in Nashville, and shows in major cities east of the Mississippi River.
