Pat Cathey works in watercolor and mixed media. Each of Pat's paintings is a story - a history with many layers underneath. She expresses her thoughts and feelings about a subject, rather than the literal interpretation. Her personal graphic language invites the viewer to use his imagination.

Pat holds a B. S. degree in Art and has taught art for several years. Her paintings have been juried into the International Society of Experimental Artists, the American Artists' Professional League in New York, the Southern Watercolor Society Exhibits, and the Tennessee Watercolor Society Exhibits.

Pat Cathey's work is in the corporate collections of HCA, Merrill Lynch, AmSouth Bank, and First Union Bank.
