Fabrice de Villeneuve
Laval, Quebec
Born in Lille, France in 1954, Fabrice de Villeneuve’s inspiration for art debuted from his childhood surroundings with lush gardens of flowers and vegetables overlooking the beautiful sea. This captivation and obsession of the tranquil beauty of nature led him to create his own interpretations on canvas.
As an adult, Fabrice became an antique dealer, filling his life with whatever objects, paintings or pieces of furniture which captivated his sense of beauty. When he became a full time artist and creator in his own right, it was again the richness and peacefulness that had been so much a part of his childhood that he recreated in his paintings.
Following the tradition of the 17th and 18th centuries, his favorite subjects are trompe-l’oeil, floral and interior scenes. However, by the continuous demand and success of his work he has selected other subject matter sought by his many collectors around the world. Fabrice de Villeneuve’s art is currently exhibited constantly throughout Europe and North America.
