Bob McGill
Nashville, Tennessee

Example of the work of Bob McGillBob McGill , a California native, has made his home in Nashville since 1980. He started painting in 1995 as a hobby and for relaxation. He seldom uses a brush in his works, except to add accent lines to some works. Even then, it is the wooden handle end of the brush that he most often uses. His main tool is a common safety razor blade. He also uses palette knives, nails, screws, bottle tops, plastic forks, and anything else he can find to add the characteristics he needs to create the effect he desires. To Bob, the frame is an essential part of any work. His hand made frames always become a part of the works he has created. Often, he will spend as much time constructing and painting the frame as he did creating the painting.
